Vice-Chancellor Cuts Sod for the Construction of a Five -Storey Block at Adako Jachie

The Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has cut the sod for the commencement of the construction of a five-storey building at Adako Jachie to house two of its faculties. They are the Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT) and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST).

The Vice-Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) Ing. Prof Nana Osei-Wusu Achaw together with a section of his team paid a working visit to the Mayor of Kumasi Hon. Osei Asibey Antwi to further deepen the working relationship and collaboration that has existed between Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and the Technical University. The new areas of further collaboration include sanitation, fire education, energy conservation, revenue collection and inculcation of the spirit of volunteerism among the youth within the Kumasi metropolis.

The Guidance and Counselling Unit of Kumasi Technical University has held a workshop for counselling representatives for the various departments. The one day workshop which was held at the Council Chamber had as its theme “Managing the present day students: the skills departmental counsellors need”. The workshop was facilitated by Mad. Felicia Ofosuaa Tettey and Mrs Agnes Anim from the Guidance and Counselling Unit of the University.

KsTU Begins the Construction of a Four-Storey Complex at Adako Jachie

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has commenced the construction a four-storey building at Adako Jachie to house two of its faculties. They are Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT) and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST). The completion of the building and relocation of those two faculties will bring the total number of faculties at the Adako Jachie campus to three. It will be recalled that in 2019, the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment (FBNE) was relocated to the Adako Jachie campus.

Up-Close With Dr. Boadu Ayeboafo, the Certified Platinum Trainer for SAGE

One outstanding personality that the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) would love to celebrate is Dr. Boadu Ayeboafo, a senior lecturer with the department of Accountancy and Accounting Information System. Dr. Ayeboafo is a trained Educational Alliance Programme Representative for West Africa, a position he has held since 2010. He has risen through the ranks to the level of a platinum trainer and is certified to train up to the gold level.

Kstu Inaugurates Scholarship And Bursary Board

The Vice-Chancellor of the Kumasi Technical University has inaugurated the Scholarship and Bursary Board on the 18th of February 2021. Inaugurating the Board, the Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Osei-Wusu Achaw, noted that Management of the University was aware of the difficulties some students in the University were facing in terms of getting financial support to complete their studies and therefore, the Institution gives a lot of support to needy students. This Board is instituted to offer scholarships to such needy but brilliant students.

Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) on Thursday 8th April, 2021 inaugurated the newly formed Hall Brigade Committee. The students’ volunteer group spearheaded by the VC himself is meant to curb the misuse of utilities and also check the various behavioral patterns of students both on and out of campus. The group has been divided into three and each has specific roles assigned to them. The groups are fire brigade, environmental and sanitation as well as the electrical and energy conservation group.

In the profiling series, we throw the spotlight on a remarkable woman by all standards who keeps pushing boundaries and setting pace wherever she finds herself, in the person of Surveyor Mrs. Naana Amakie Boakye-Agyemang. Mrs. Boakye-Agyemang is an academician, a practicing surveyor and a mother who continues to make the University proud. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Land Economy and a Master of Business Administration both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Two Graduate Students Awarded Scholarship Under The Erasmus + Exchange Mobility Programme

Two students offering MTech in Chemical Engineering were selected through a competitive application to win a scholarship to Germany. The students, selected on merit, are Bright Amponsem and Isaac Mensah.

Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, the Director for the office of International Affairs and Institutional Linkages of Kumasi Technical University in his address disclosed that the two student were selected through a very competitive application to be awarded the scholarship.
