The Institute of Research, Innovation and Development (IRID) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) and the Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT have initiated a collaboration which will centre in the areas of joint curriculum development for specialised academic and professional programmes, research consultancy and innovative ICT solutions to research outcomes.

The Institute of Research, Innovation and Development (IRID) has commenced engagements into a four-year partnership agreement with Ciments de l’Afrique (CIMAF). CIMAF is a Moroccan based cement manufacturing company with manufacturing plants in other countries including Ghana.

The Vice-Chancellor (VC), Ing. Professor Osei-Wusu Achaw led a team from Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) to visit 3 universities in Germany and Poland as part of KsTU’s efforts at operationalising a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with some European institutions.

The Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) chapter of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) on Friday 22nd October, 2021, held a brief ceremony for the outgoing executives to hand over and sworn in the newly-elected executives.

Professor Peter Kessels Dadzie is an Associate Professor of Wood Materials Technology and Management, at Kumasi Technical University and a professional teacher who holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree and specialized in Technology Education in Wood and Construction (2002). He has MSc. Wood Technology and Management (2007) and PhD. Wood Science and Technology (2014) from the University of Education and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, all in Kumasi, Ghana respectively.

The Kumasi Technical University’s (KsTU) Institute of Research, Innovation, and Development is looking to explore more ways to effectively communicate research solutions to Ghanaians.

The Human Resource Department (HRD) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has organised a two-day orientation programme for the newly-appointed Deans, Directors and HoDs at the University’s Council Chamber.

In delivering the purpose of the gathering, the Registrar, Mr Ebenezer Kofi Boakye stated that the event gives the position holders first hand information about administrative procedures and also, immerse them deeply into the mission and vision of the University. This he said will empower them more than ever before to help achieve the vision of the Institution.

Two students from the Electrical Engineering Department of Kumasi Technical University have emerged victorious in the recently organized National Skills Competition which took place from 26th to 29th October 2021 at the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC).

A two-year agreement has been signed between Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) and the ROPAT System Limited for the latter to provide some ICT services to the University. This is in line with the vision of the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of KsTU Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw who is determined to ensure that the University leverages on ICT in every facet of its operations.

Candidates must successfully complete five (5) modules through examinations (2 compulsory + 1 elective + 2 optional) or (2 compulsory + 2 elective + 1 optional)

The course consists of the following two (2) compulsory modules;

International Certificate in Logistics and Transport – CILT

Candidates must successfully complete four (4) modules through examinations (3 compulsory and 1 optional)

The course consists of the following three (3) compulsory modules;

• Module A – Supply Chain Management
• Module B – Business Theory
• Module C – Business Applications
