KsTU SRC Donates Sewing and Knitting Machines to Juansa Campus
The 2025/2026 Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has donated six sewing machines and one knitting machine to the University’s Juansa Campus to support practical training for students pursuing fashion-related programme.
The machines, acquired by the SRC under the leadership of the then SRC President, Bright Ofori Quaye, were formally handed over to the newly elected 2026/2027 SRC Executives, who subsequently presented them to Management on behalf of the student body.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Dean of Students, Prof. Kessels Dadzie, described the donation as a timely and prudent initiative. He explained that the idea followed a visit by the former SRC President to the Juansa Campus, where the need for modern equipment to support students in their practical training became apparent.
According to him, the provision of the machines would enhance the learning experience of students on the campus by giving them access to modern equipment for practical work.
The newly elected SRC Executives expressed their commitment to building on the initiative, indicating that their administration intends to support the University with additional resources and projects during their tenure.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Management, Ing. Prof. Abena Agyeiwaa Obiri-Yeboah, the Pro Vice-Chancellor congratulated the SRC for the donation and expressed Management’s appreciation for the gesture.
Management further encouraged the SRC to continue with initiatives that contribute to the academic and practical development of students and support the growth of the University.
