KsTU Signs MoU with Design Technology Institute to Boost TVET

Kumasi Technical University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Design and Technology Institute (DTI), a world-class Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institute in Ghana to help churn out top-notch professionals in the TVET space.

The MoU is meant to implement the Precision Quality (PQ) training towards excellence in measurements, standards, and specifications among learners in the TVET space. The MoU aims to ensure that KsTU students gain relevant industry skills and adhere to global industry standards.

A former Interim Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) Prof. Asiamah Yeboah, has donated books worth over GHS 19,000 to the Institution at a short ceremony in the University. Prof. Asiamah served as the Interim Vice-Chancellor between 2017 and January 2019.

Lecturers from Kumasi Technical University Featured Among the Top 1,000 Scientist in Ghana

Kumasi Technical University has been ranked among the highest tertiary institutions in Ghana by the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index 2022 Version 2. Additionally, more than 17 Scientists from the University appeared among the top 1,000 scientists featured this year.

The AD Scientific Index 2022 Version 2 named Ing. Dr.  Edem Bensah (Senior Lecturer) and Head of Department of Chemical Engineering in Kumasi Technical University as the Best Scientist in the University and placed 320 out of the 1000 academics featured in Ghana.

Twenty-one (21) Staff of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Undergo Two-day Training.

The China-Africa Education International Exchange Programme has partnered with Kumasi Technical University to train some staff in specific engineering areas.

In connection with the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) project, approximately twenty-one (21) staff members from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology participated in a two-day intensive capacity building training for effective teaching and learning.

Graduate School holds Research Seminar for Postgraduate Students

The seminar also discussed in detail, topics such as: “Research Problem Identification, Methodology, Qualitative Research, Quantitative Research, Sampling Method, Research Design and Data Collection, Literature Review tools and Literature Database” among others..The Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. (Mrs.) Patricia Owusu Darko in her address said the programme was aimed at addressing the challenges facing postgraduate students in their research work. She noted that the programme was also intended to empower postgraduate students to complete their thesis early.

The Launch of AVIC Engineering Workshop at KsTU (Adako Jachie Campus) in Pictures

The AVIC Engineering Workshop was officially launched on the 12th April, 2022 at the Adako Jachie campus of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) by Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education. The Workshop consists of sections including automotive and other Mechanical Engineering sections which is divided into welding and fabrication units.
