KsTU Receives Fresh Students
Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has opened its doors to freshmen and women who have been admitted to pursue various programmes of study for the 2020/ 2021 academic year. After a long school break due to the emergence of COVID-19, KsTU is pleased to receive its first year students for the new academic year and entreats all students to comply with all the COVID-19 protocols as they go about their studies.
A visit to halls of residence and lecture theatres in the University shows the determination and preparedness of Management KsTU to put all the needed systems in place to ensure general compliance with all the COVID-19 protocols. Management of the University has put in place all necessary protocols to help students to feel at home and get acquainted with the beautiful campus of KsTU.
As part of the spirited fight against COVID-19, hand-washing machines produced by the University have been placed at vantage points of the University campus with face masks and hand sanitizers distributed to all the new students. The COVID-19 Response Team members of the University are constantly moving around the main campus at Amakom as well as the extension campus at Adako Jachie to ensure compliance. Also, to contain the soared numbers of students on campus, the University has put students in groups to do their lab and practical works in turns.
Upon arrival on campus, the students are expected to go through all the required registration process to confirm their status as students ahead of the commencement of lectures. The number of students admitted this year is anticipated to increase as a result of the completion of the first batch of free Senior High School policy.
