Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics (Financial Statistics)

Introduction

The Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics (Financial Statistics) programme is aimed at training students at the degree level with skill of collecting, analysing, interpreting and managing financial data to draw appropriate conclusions on financial issues such as microfinance, insurance, stock market and gross domestic product hampering the development of the economy.

The objectives are for the learners to have the ability to:

Entry Requirements:

  1. WASSCE Applicants Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three relevant elective subjects (i.e. Financial Accounting, Business Management, Costing Accounting, Economics, Elective Mathematics, Geography and Government). Science and Arts students who satisfy the criteria may be considered.
  2. SSSCE Applicants Credit Passes (A-D) in six subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three relevant elective subjects. (i.e.

Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Statistics

Entry Requirements:

  1. SSSCE Applicants Holders who have credit passes (A-D) in the following three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A-D) in three elective subjects with an aggregate score of 24 or better in the relevant area of study (including Agricultural Science or General Science or General Arts with Geography and Economics options or Business with Elective Mathematics option).
  2. WASSCE Applicants Holders who have credit passes (A1-C6) in the following three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Int
