Broll Ghana Limited, managers of the Kumasi City Mall, has extended a helping hand to two brilliant but needy students of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) with a GH¢10,000 donation to the Department of Estate Management.
The donation came after a call by the Head of Department, Dr. Lewis Abedi Asante, who appealed for external support to ease the financial challenges of students in his department.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of Broll Ghana, Mr. Emmanuel Okoh, Manager of Kumasi City Mall, said the gesture forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) to support tertiary education. All our staff are products of tertiary institutions, and since our resources come from the real estate and land economy sector, we felt it was appropriate to give back. He emphasised the importance of investing in education to empower the youth and drive community development. Mr. Okoh also encouraged other businesses to participate in similar initiatives, highlighting that collective efforts can significantly impact the future of the nation's workforce. He further urged the beneficiaries to make the most of this support because there may be more on the way.

Receiving the cheque, Dr. Lewis Abedi Asante expressed appreciation to Broll Ghana for responding to his request. He explained that the beneficiaries were selected through an open and transparent process based on need and merit. “This gesture is a great motivation to the students, and I am hopeful it will inspire others to study hard so they can benefit from such opportunities in the future,” Dr. Asante said.
The two beneficiaries, both pursuing a BSc. Estate Management, expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying the support has lifted a huge financial burden off their guardians and given them peace of mind to focus on their studies.
