The sixteen (16) students from Université Norbert Zongo in Burkina Faso successfully completed a four-week Language Immersion Programme at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU). This programme was designed to enhance their English language proficiency while fostering international relations between the two institutions.

To celebrate their achievement, a heartwarming send-off ceremony was held at the Council Chamber of KsTU. The event did not only bid the visiting students farewell but also, honoured their dedication and accomplishments. Each student received a certificate and a medal as a token of recognition for their hard work and successful completion of the programme.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University, Ing. Prof. Abena Agyeiwaa Obiri-Yeboah graced the occasion and extended her heartfelt congratulations to the students. She expressed her pride in the programme, stating that "We are grateful that every year students from Université Norbert Zongo visit KsTU to participate in this enriching experience."

In addition to their academic activities, the students had the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Kumasi and immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti region. Their time in Kumasi offered a unique chance to connect with Ghana's traditions and history, deepening their appreciation for the cultural exchange aspect of the programme.

The success of this year’s programme stimulated discussions about future collaborations. Plans were announced for Kumasi Technical University to reciprocate the experience by sending its students to Burkina Faso for a similar immersion programme, further strengthening the ties between the two institutions.

The Language Immersion Programme is an annual event that highlights KsTU's commitment to providing students with international exposure and fostering cross-cultural relationships.
