SRC Endowment Fund Board Inaugurated
The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Kumasi Technical University ING Prof. Osei-Wusu Achaw has inaugurated a new board for the Students’ Representative Council’s (SRC) Endowment Fund on Thursday, 18th February, 2021.
In his address to the gathering, the VC described the Endowment Fund as already existing excellent initiative by the (SRC). He said the Funds is meant for the students to contribute something towards the development of the University.
ING Prof. Osei-Wusu Achaw highlighted the intended purpose of the Endowment Fund which includes the provision of additional facilities in the University so as to contribute to the comfort of students on the University campuses. He said already, the SRC through the Endowment Fund has undertaken major projects in the University which includes facilitation for a police station at Adako Jachie as well as the construction of an entrance to the main campus of the University. He charged the Board to operate and help manage the Fund well.
A member of the Board Mr. Amoako underscored the importance of teamwork and urged all members to work hard to justify the confidence the VC has reposed in the members of the Board.
Dr. Felix Narku Engmann the Dean of Students’ Affair urged the members to work with speed so that the SRC in every year, can accomplish something since they have a short tenure of office.
