Kumasi Technical University Holds Its 30th Matriculation Ceremony

 Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) on Friday, 4th March 2022 held its 30th Matriculation ceremony to officially admit all fresh students to the University. The fresh students have been admitted to the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology, Faculty of Built and Natural Environment, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development, Business School, Institute of Distance Learning and Continuing Education, and the Graduate School.

After fulfilling the requirements and obligations of the University, a total of 4,488 students were selected from 6,771 applicants. The Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Professor Osei-Wusu Achaw, in an address encouraged the students to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the University to ensure their success at the current phase of their academic journey. He stated that the Oath sworn at the Matriculation ceremony is an indicative of the contract that the students have signed with the Institution.  “You are bound by this oath to strictly adhere to all the rules and regulations of the University,” he told the fresh students.

The Vice-Chancellor further urged the students to remain focused and commit themselves to the purpose for which they joined the University, which is to acquire knowledge and skills, guarantee a fruitful future for themselves as well as becoming useful to the nation. He added that the University would not hesitate to sanction students who behave contrarily to the rules and regulations in the Institution.

The Matriculation Oath was administered by the Registrar of the University, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye.
