KsTU receives a Boost as AVIC International donates a Vehicle to the AVIC Workshop

The Automotive Engineering Department of Kumasi Technical University has taken delivery of a vehicle to boost their training. The vehicle was presented by the Chinese corporation, AVIC International, as part their supplies for the AVIC Engineering Workshop on 2nd November, 2022.

On receiving the vehicle, the Dean of Engineering, Prof. Dery Nagre, was full of gratitude and said the donation was important for the practical development of the students. He assured of the University’s commitment to TVET Education to the country’s development.

The AVIC Engineering Workshop was officially launched on 12th April, 2022 at the Adako Jachie Campus of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) by Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education. The Workshop consists of sections including automotive and other Mechanical Engineering sections which are divided into welding and fabrication units.

This project is a Ghana-China governments' collaboration on upgrading and rehabilitation of Technical Universities and other Technical Institutes with workshops, offices and laboratories. The equipment installed in the workshop are state-of-the-art and industry-standard equipment which will ensure that students who graduate from KsTU have industry-ready skills.
