(A) TEACHING AREAS
1. Lecturers/Associate Professors/Professors
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Mechanical Engineering (specialization in Metallurgy)
- Mechatronics
- Building Technology (specialization in Quantity Surveying)
- Laboratory Technology (specialization in Histopathology and Haematology)
- Hospitality Management
- Architecture
Qualification: Applicant must have Ph.D. or MPhil (with evidence of enrollment in relevant Ph.D. programme). Teaching experience in a University and /or relevant industrial experience will be an advantage.
(B) NON-TEACHING AREAS
1. Medical Doctor
Qualification: Applicants must hold MB. ChB or its equivalent and must be a qualified Medical Doctor duly registered by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council in good standing with an active pin. Applicant must have four (4) years post-qualification experience; and must have practiced in an institution of similar standing
2. Website Designer / Web Master
Duties:
The Website Designer/Web Master will be responsible for designing and developing Kumasi Technical University’s websites, directories and applications.
- Build functional and easy-to-use websites
- Creating and maintaining internal software systems
- Developing web pages, graphics, and integrated multimedia
- Test websites across browsers, operating systems and devices
- Maintain, configure and troubleshoot websites and servers
- Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages
- Optimize loading speeds and capacity of websites
- Debug pages and fix broken links or images
- Update website content and review SEO
- Monitor and analyse site performance (e.g traffic, conversions, analytics)
- Address user complaints
- Creating and maintain backups of all websites
Qualification:
- A Minimum of Bachelor's degree, preferably Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Strong working expertise and experience in HTML5 / CSS3, XML, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, C#, Adobe Creative Suite, Drupal CMS.
- Minimum 2 years of front-end website development and hosting experience
- Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability
- Proficient in webmaster and SEO tools such as tag manager or google analytics
- Knowledge in metadata, robots.txt, and speed optimization
- Excellent communication skills
- Creative, innovative, and maintains a positive work attitude
- Knowledge of different platforms/servers and configurations, windows, Linux, and O/S in general
