In a commendable display of solidarity and commitment to campus safety, staff members of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) who are also part of the University's Alumni Association have donated GH₵ 13,000 towards the construction of a police post at the main campus.

The cash donation was presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, by a delegation of alumni staff led by Prof. Adoma Worae, the President of the KsTU Alumni Association. The gesture is in response to an appeal by the University's Security Committee, which called for support to enhance the security infrastructure on campus.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Prof. Worae expressed the Alumni Association's strong commitment to contributing to the safety and well-being of the University community. he highlighted that the construction of the police post will not only benefit the students and staff of KsTU but also the surrounding community, ensuring a safer environment for all.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh extended his heartfelt gratitude to the alumni association, the executives, and the KsTU staff who are also alumni for their thoughtful and generous contribution. He noted that this initiative reflects the deep connection and ongoing support that alumni have for their alma mater.

The police post is scheduled to be commissioned in September,2024 and is expected to significantly enhance security measures on campus, providing peace of mind for the university community and its immediate environs. This development marks a significant step forward in KsTU's efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for learning and growth.

The University community is encouraged to continue supporting such initiatives that contribute to the well-being of all its members.
