KsTU Holds a Send-Off Ceremony for Norbert Zongo University Students After Successful English Language Immersion Programme

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) held a send-off ceremony for students from Norbert Zongo University, Burkina Faso, who successfully completed their English Language Immersion Programme at the University. The ceremony held at the Council Chamber, marked the end of this year’s exchange and learning initiative between the two universities.
Prof. Roland Kabange, Dean of the School of Graduate School, chaired the ceremony on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor. In his opening remarks, Prof. Kabange congratulated the visiting students for their commitment and active participation throughout the programme. He expressed delight at their remarkable improvement in speaking English, noting how confidently they could now have conversations in the language.

He encouraged the students to continue practicing english to attain fluency and to consider pursuing further studies at KsTU. Prof. Kabange reiterated that the University remains open to international students seeking a supportive and culturally diverse academic environment.
Dr. Jonas Bawuah, Vice-Dean of the Institute of International Affairs & Institutional Linkages (IAIL), gave a brief overview of the programme, highlighting its importance in promoting cross-cultural learning and strengthening academic collaboration between KsTU and Norbert Zongo University.
Two Norbert Zongo University students, speaking on behalf of their colleagues, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of KsTU for their hospitality and support throughout their stay. They also shared their excitement about exploring some of Kumasi’s major cultural and tourist attractions, particularly their visit to Lake Bosomtwe, where they learnt about its rich history and had an unforgettable experience.

Every year, Kumasi Technical University hosts students from Norbert Zongo University as part of a long-standing language and cultural exchange programme. This initiative continues to strengthen the bond between the two institutions and contributes to KsTU’s vision of fostering international partnerships and global learning opportunities.
