Abbi College Donates 60 Bags of Cement to KsTU for the Campus Police Post
Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has received a generous donation of 60 bags of cement which worth GH₵ 6,000, from Abbi College. The donation is meant to support the construction of a Police Post at the main campus of KsTU with the sole aim of improving the safety and security of the University community.
The cash equivalent of the donation was presented by a delegation from Abbi College to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh. The donation comes in response to an appeal made by the University's Security Committee, which called for external support for the construction of Police Post on campus to improve security.
Abbi College, a leading fashion school in Ghana, already has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KsTU. The partnership is focused on nurturing young talents in the fashion industry and bridging the gap between industry and academia.
Upon receiving the donation, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, expressed his gratitude to the delegation stating that "We are truly grateful to Abbi College for their generous support. This donation does not only strengthen the partnership between our institutions but also, marks a crucial step in enhancing the safety and security of our campus for students and staff."
The Police Post, once completed, will serve as a critical facility to enhance the overall safety on campus and in the surrounding communities.
