KsTU Signs an Agreement with Ropat System Limited

A two-year agreement has been signed between Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) and the ROPAT System Limited for the latter to provide some ICT services to the University. This is in line with the vision of the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of KsTU Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw who is determined to ensure that the University leverages on ICT in every facet of its operations.

The ROPAT System’s portals cover a wide range of areas of the University’s operations including admissions, examinations, payment of fees, human resource management, graduation as well as other financial records of the University.

The initial trials of the System have proved to be reliable with its entire functionality being close to perfection. Under the Agreement, the ICT Directorate of KsTU will manage the new system while the ROPAT company provides support services

During the signing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of KsTU expressed optimism that the ROPAT System will continuously prove to be a better alternative. He urged the Company to continue to discharge its part of the Agreement to give real meaning to the newly established relationship with the Company.

The Chief Executive Officer of ROPAT System Limited, Mr. Boohene Kwame Akonnor was full of praise for the University for the level of seriousness it attaches to the issue of ICT at KsTU. He pledged his company’s utmost commitment to the Agreement and hoped for a long-standing relationship between ROPAT and KsTU
