Amansie Rural Bank Plc Donates to Kumasi Technical University

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has received a generous donation of 50 bags of cement from Amansie Rural Bank PLC in support of the University's ongoing project to build a police post. The donation was presented to the University on 15th December, 2023 by representatives of the bank and received with gratitude by the Registrar of KsTU Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye and the Dean of the Business School, Prof. Alfred Owusu.

The gesture of support from Amansie Rural Bank PLC is timely and a much-needed boost to the University's efforts to enhance security on its main campus at Asem in Kumasi. The new police post will provide a dedicated space for law enforcement officers to operate from and improve response times and overall safety for students, staff and visitors.

In responding to the gesture, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the bank's commitment to the welfare and security of the University community. He assured the bank that the donation would be judiciously utilised in the construction of the police post to ensure that the intended objective is achieved.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Alfred Owusu expressed gratitude to Amansie Rural Bank PLC, emphasising the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and the corporate sector in fostering community development.

Kumasi Technical University values the support of its stakeholders and recognises the role they play in the University's progress. The Management and staff of KsTU extend their sincere thanks to Amansie Rural Bank PLC for this meaningful contribution which reinforces the spirit of community engagement and partnership.

About KsTU

Kumasi Technical University was established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (K. T. I. ) to offer craft courses. In 1963, the Institute was converted to a non-tertiary Polytechnic status under the Ghana Education Service to start offering, in addition, technician diploma and sub- professional courses.
