Université Norbert Zongo Students Successfully Complete Language Immersion Programme at Kumasi Technical University

Students from Université Norbert ZONGO in Burkina Faso have concluded a successful Language Immersion Programme at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU). This immersive programme, spanning four weeks, was designed to enhance the students’ English language proficiency and promote international relations. 

A heartwarming send-off ceremony was held in honour of the visiting students at the SRC Conference Hall. During this special event, the students were not only base farewell but also celebrated for their achievements. Certificates and medals were presented to each participant in recognition of their dedication and successful completion of the programme.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, graced the occasion with his presence and wished the departing students the very best in their endeavors.

Prof. Dwomoh expressed his satisfaction with the programme, stating, “The journey has been a successful one. We are grateful to the students from Université Norbert ZONGO for participating in this enriching experience, and we hope to continue this fruitful exchange next year. Let’s not allow this valuable relationship to end. 

Beyond the confines of the classroom, the students from Université Norbert ZONGO had the opportunity to explore the vibrant tapestry of the Kumasi metropolis and immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti region. This aspect of the exchange programme allowed them to forge deeper connections and gain a profound appreciation for Ghana’s history and traditions.

The Language Immersion Programme at Kumasi Technical University serves as a testament to the Institution’s commitment to global education and cultural exchange. It fosters connections that transcend borders and enriches the lives of all those involved. As the students bid farewell to KsTU, they carry with them not only improved language skills but also cherished memories and lifelong connections. 

About KsTU

Kumasi Technical University was established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (K. T. I. ) to offer craft courses. In 1963, the Institute was converted to a non-tertiary Polytechnic status under the Ghana Education Service to start offering, in addition, technician diploma and sub- professional courses.
