An Alumnus Donates to KsTU

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has received several test tubes to augment its laboratory equipment. The test tubes were donated by Mr. Abdullah Issah, an alumnus of the University. The brand-new test tubes which numbered about 2000 were specifically donated to the Chemical Engineering Department of the Institution to further enhance research work at the Chemical Engineering Laboratory. Mr. Issah who was accompanied by Mr. Abdul Ganiyu (a friend) said, the donation was meant to add to the existing laboratory equipment in the Department. He was optimistic that the donation will go a long way to facilitate teaching and learning.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor of KsTU, Engr. Prof. Mike Agbesi Acheampong on behalf of the Senior Management expressed appreciation to the old student for giving back to the Institution. He further appealed to other alumni and the various year groups to continue to support the University. He noted that it is always rewarding and refreshing to see the Institution receive donation from the alumni. The Pro Vice-Chancellor ceased the opportunity to remind current students at the University to continue to keep their relationship with the Institution, even after completion. He gave the assurance that the equipment would be put to good use for the benefit of all students. He further entreated faculty, students and all those who would use the equipment to take good care of them as a way of showing appreciation to the donor.

The Head of Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Edem Bensah, expressed profound appreciation to Mr. Abdullah Issah for the donation and noted that the equipment would enhance

research and laboratory work in the Department. Also present at the ceremony was the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof. Robert Nagre who thanked them for the gesture and stated that the equipment will equally be useful in the analytical laboratory.
