KsTU’s Oduro Samuel Wins Bronze At The Cross-Country Athletic Competition

A second-year diploma student of Kumasi Technical University Master Oduro Samuel, has placed third in the 6th Cross Country Athletic competition held in Accra by Ghana Athletics Association.

Over 20 participants took part in this competition and the 18-year old KsTU student who represented Ashanti region of Ghana placed third in the fiercely contested competition. The Diploma of Fashion student from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology has thus, qualified to the national level and will be part of soon-to-be-held competition which is to take place in Togo.

Speaking to the University Relations Office of KsTU, Oduro intimated that he has competed in other athletic competitions like regional inter-colleges and super zonal competitions, among other school sports competitions. Though, being an athlete needs more time to complete training sessions, he is focused on working on his academic work to be a better person.

About KsTU

Kumasi Technical University was established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (K. T. I. ) to offer craft courses. In 1963, the Institute was converted to a non-tertiary Polytechnic status under the Ghana Education Service to start offering, in addition, technician diploma and sub- professional courses.
