Private Secretary to Otumfour Pays a Visit to Kumasi Technical University

On Thursday, March 24, 2022, the Private Secretary for Otumfour Osei Tutu II (Asantehene), Nana Kwasi Prempeh paid a working visit to Kumasi Technical University (KsTU). This visit was a sequel to a courtesy call on the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace by the Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Osei-Wusu Achaw and his team a couple of weeks ago.

The visit was to afford Nana Kwasi Prempeh an opportunity to familiarize himself with the University and to see how best Manhyia could collaborate with the University to achieve a common desired results.

Nana Kwasi Prempeh charged the University to stick to its core mandate and continue with it good service to the Country. He also had the pleasure of visiting the various faculties and laboratories on campus.  

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his profound appreciation to the delegation for the visit and reiterated his passion about making the Institution a world-class technical university devoted to science, technology and entrepreneurship education.

The Registrar of the University, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye in his remarks, thanked the visitors from Manhyia and added that the University is committed to providing quality teaching, learning and research in technology and entrepreneurship to promote industrial development in Ghana.

About KsTU

Kumasi Technical University was established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (K. T. I. ) to offer craft courses. In 1963, the Institute was converted to a non-tertiary Polytechnic status under the Ghana Education Service to start offering, in addition, technician diploma and sub- professional courses.
