Final-Year Mtech Student Donates Projector to the University
In a demonstration of gratitude and commitment to his alma mater, Mr. Edmond Boateng Agyei, a final-year MTech student at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has generously donated a state-of-the-art projector to the Chemical Engineering Department. The presentation took place in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh in the presence of the Registrar, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye, Mr. Yaw Ntiri Lartey, Director of ICT and the Head of Department of Chemical Engineering, Ing. Prof. Julius C. Ahiekpor.
Mr. Agyei, currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc.) degree at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) in Germany under the Erasmus+ Mobility programme, expressed his deep appreciation for the educational foundation he received at KsTU. He indicated that the donation was a demonstration of his appreciation to the University and the desire to give back to his alma mater that provided him with the opportunity to study abroad on scholarship.
Presenting the projector, Mr. Agyei who did his first degree in the University was full praise for the Institution. Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh used the occasion to highlight the significance of such acts of kindness in fostering a culture of support and collaboration within the University community. He also emphasised the positive impact the donation would have regarding enhancing academic activities within the Chemical Engineering Department and the broader faculty.
The Registrar, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye, and the Head of Department of Chemical Engineering, Ing. Prof. Julius C. Ahiekpor also applauded Mr. Agyei's thoughtful gesture. They re-echoed the Vice-Chancellor's sentiments and encouraged other members of the University community to follow the shining example and contribute to the growth of the various academic departments of KsTU.
This act of philanthropy by Mr. Edmond Boateng Agyei is a clarion call on all alumni of the University to support their alma mater.
