Çankırı Karatekin University’s Scholar Visits Kumasi Technical University

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) had the honour of hosting Mr. Mustafa Harman, a distinguished scholar from Çankırı Karatekin University, Turkey.

During his visit, Mr. Harman engaged with the Senior Management of KsTU, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and the Heads of the Department of Mechanical Engineering as well as the Department of Energy and Renewable Energy. This interaction provided a platform for in-depth discussions on academic and research collaborations, paving the way for future partnerships.

Mr. Harman also conducted series of lecture sessions with the students of Mechanical Engineering Department. His expertise and insights greatly enriched the students' learning experiences offering them a unique perspective on contemporary engineering challenges and innovations.

In addition to his academic engagements, Mr. Harman took the opportunity to immerse himself in the rich Ashanti culture. He visited the historic Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Ashanti Kingdom, and the Kumasi Military Museum, gaining a deeper appreciation of the region's heritage and tradition.

Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, the Vice-Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University, expressed his delight at Mr. Harman's visit. He emphasised the importance of such exchanges in fostering international cooperation and enhancing the educational experiences of students and staff. Prof. Dwomoh reiterated his openness to more collaborations in the future, aiming to strengthen the ties between Kumasi Technical University and Çankırı Karatekin University.

The visit of Mr. Mustafa Harman marks a significant improvement in the ongoing efforts of Kumasi Technical University to build strong international partnerships, enriching the academic environment and promoting cultural exchange.

About KsTU

Kumasi Technical University was established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (K. T. I. ) to offer craft courses. In 1963, the Institute was converted to a non-tertiary Polytechnic status under the Ghana Education Service to start offering, in addition, technician diploma and sub- professional courses.
