Mr. Paul Krah Facilitates Workshop for KsTU Administrative Staff

The Human Resource department of Kumasi Technical University recently organised a two-day workshop for administrative staff aimed at enhancing their professional skills and overall job performance. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Paul Ofori Krah, the Executive Secretary of the Vice Chancellors of Technical Universities of Ghana (VCTUG).

The workshop was designed to provide practical tools and strategies that the participants could use to improve their job performance and contribute more effectively to the success of the university. The workshop covered a variety of topics relevant to administrative staff, such as effective communication skills, time management, customer service, and conflict resolution.

During the workshop, Mr. Krah emphasized the importance of effective communication skills in the workplace. He encouraged participants to use active listening skills, ask clarifying questions, and give constructive feedback to their colleagues and superiors. He also stressed the importance of being courteous and professional in all interactions with students, faculty, and staff.

The Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Osei Wusu-Achaw, also spoke at the workshop, highlighting the importance of the administrative staff to the success of the university. He thanked the Human Resource department for organising the workshop and providing opportunities for the staff to enhance their professional skills.

Another important topic covered in the workshop was time management. Mr. Krah provided participants with practical tips on how to prioritize tasks, manage their schedules, and avoid common time-wasting activities. He emphasised the importance of setting achievable goals, breaking larger tasks into smaller ones, and using tools such as to-do lists and calendars to stay organized and on track.
