The University community is hereby informed that the Department of Civil Engineering has been awarded a grant of €30,000 from IHE Delft in the Netherlands. This grant will fund the research project titled “Ecological Sustainability of Rural Water Systems (EcoRural): Developing Inclusive Management Capacities to Sustain Access to Safe Drinking Water in Rural Communities.”

The project aims to support rural community water managers in Kenya and Ghana by providing sustainable water services through research and capacity building. Additionally, it will offer scholarships for 2-3 students enrolled in our MTech Water and Environmental Engineering programme.

·Duration: 3 years (September 2023-September 2026)

We are therefore, announcing the availability of full scholarships (covering tuition fees and stipend) for at

Least two students, one of whom must be female, to enrol in the MTech Water and Environmental Engineering programme for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Kumasi Technical University was established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (K. T. I. ) to offer craft courses.
