Professionals without technical background are employed in systems such as fuel pump stations, process plants, ports and fuel transports. Clearly, their fundamental knowledge in process safety requirements of the operating systems will significantly contribute to loss prevention. The increasing fire and explosion events among fuel pump stations and fuel transport cars can be linked with several factors. However, fuel assistants, managers, supervisors, drivers etc. lacking of deep understanding of the sciences of their system is a major factor, and this has not really motivated them to follow safety protocols during operations.
The course is tailor-made and seeks to address process safety needs of workers in hazardous operating systems. The trainees will know the sciences and processes of the operating systems, safety requirements of the systems, importance of maintenance and environmental protection, reporting of dangerous occurrence, emergency response, confine space etc. Individuals or organisations can apply, and for organisations it can be delivered at onsite.
Additionally, the delivery plan for this course is competency based approach, and trainees would go through assignments, individual and group presentations, tests and examinations prior to award of process safety certificate. Our delivery excellence is largely dependent on the consultants who have: strong chemical engineering background, process safety practice, higher education, and their deep understanding of principles of process safety management in process industries.
