KsTU LIAISON SEMINAR

In keeping with its tradition of churning out versatile professionals, Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) took a significant stride in shaping the future of its students with a weeklong seminar aimed at empowering them with leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Hosted by the Industrial Liaison and Career Development Directorate, the event commenced on the 18th of March, and it is scheduled to end on the 23rd of March, 2024.

Held at the New Great Hall, the seminar marked the inauguration of the first-ever Career Services Week at Kumasi Technical University. The Pro Vice-Chancellor of KsTU, Ing. Prof Abena Obiri-Yeboah, inaugurated the seminar with an insightful speech, urging students to explore the opportunities awaiting them after completing KsTU.

Distinguished guest speakers took turns to address the students. Mr. Ebenezer Owu-Ewie, the Executive Director of Letfed Africa Institute started by imparting invaluable entrepreneurial skills to the students. Dr. Evans Duah, the Director of International Affairs at AAMUSTED also made an impressive presentation on entrepreneurship, offering profound insights into the subject.

Mrs. Mariam Adjei, CEO of MINDARF HR Consult and a seasoned career and professional development coach, guided students regarding the intricacies of the job market, equipping them with strategies to thrive in their chosen fields. Mr. Isaac Boakye, Manager of the Kumasi Entrepreneurship Hub, shared his expertise by shedding light on some practical aspects of entrepreneurship and stimulating innovation among students.

The seminar was meant for students at all levels. Prior to the various enriching presentations, Mrs. Rita Gyawu, Head of the Industrial Liaison and Career Development Directorate, gave a speech on the pivotal role of her directorate, elucidating its collaborations with various industries and pointing out numerous internship opportunities available to students.

The weeklong seminar provided students with theoretical knowledge and equipped them with practical skills essential for success in today's keen competition on the job market.
