KsTU CLINCHES GOLD: AWARDED 'CHINESE PLUS DIGITAL EDUCATION MEDAL' FOR LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EXCELLENCE"

KsTU Clinches Gold: Awarded 'Chinese Plus Digital Education Medal' for Language Proficiency Excellence

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has achieved a shining milestone in its digital education efforts, bagging the prestigious "Chinese Plus Digital Education Gold Medal Cooperation Institution" award. This accolade, sponsored by the Hang Fein International Network, recognizes KsTU's exceptional performance in training students in Chinese.

Over the past year, KsTU, in collaboration with Weifang Vocational College and Chinese Plus, trained a total of 149 students across various departments. Students from Building Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Hotel Catering and Institutional Management, and Secretaryship and Management received comprehensive instruction in both spoken and written Chinese. The programme involved dedicated online sessions with Chinese partners and invaluable local guidance from Dr. Christian Narh Opata, a senior lecturer of Kumasi Technical University.

The remarkable success of the programme is evident in the students' outstanding achievement – all 149 participants successfully passed the prestigious HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) test, a standardized competency exam for non-native Chinese speakers. This stellar performance has earned KsTU the Gold Medal award, placing it among the top performers in the China-Africa TVET Cooperation Programme for Jointly Training Future Talents, and highlighting its commitment to preparing its students for a globalized future.

The award of the "Chinese Plus Digital Education Gold Medal" positions Kumasi Technical University as a leader in international collaboration, setting a standard for excellence in language education within the context of technological advancements and global connectivity. The university remains committed to nurturing well-rounded, globally aware individuals poised to contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving landscape of the modern world.
